Hi, I'm Mark DeBeer - I live in beautiful Barrie, Ontario, Canada with my wife and three young children. A passion for learning new skills has taken me through a career spanning marketing, graphic design, and software development, and today I'm a Lead Software Engineer driving developer productivity and agentic tooling at SPS Commerce.
Having spent most of my career on hybrid and globally distributed teams, I have a real passion for building culture among people who might otherwise feel disconnected from one another. On the engineering side: I built an Internal Developer Portal that became the engineering org's source of truth, and led an agentic workflow system that's completed 600+ tickets across 48 teams.
